This is not the answer to the homeless epidemic in Seattle. And will likely only cause further problems.

check out the failure with Portland's experiment. Why repeat it when we can work on something better. How does this help the homeless???

This legislation is a clear indication that the City Council is not representing the interests of the tax payers. This needs to be stopped and the Council members other then Tim Burgess need to be voted out.

Please do not allow any camping in our public spaces. This is not a solution to the homeless problems.

This plan failed in Portland and it will not work here. It is bad for our neighborhoods and is an inhumane response to the homelessness problem.

Please do what's right for ALL citizens of Seattle and come up with a better approach to addressing our homeless problem. As a taxpayer and parent of two young children, this solution is extremely unfair and short-sighted to those of us that pay for and use our parks as they were intended.

City parks were designed for tax paying citizens to visit and enjoy an oasis in an otherwise hectic concrete jungle. The environemetal and social impacts of "handing over" the parks to the homeless are immeasurable. I also worry about the safety of woman, children, families, and outdoor enthusiast that frequent the parks, some daily. Please stop this proposal and seek alternatives.

While the intentions of this bill may be good, those intentions are misguided. Seattle's parks are among the great treasures of this city. Turning them into permanent homeless encampments is not the answer to our homelessness problem.

We have maintained our large parking strips to help the environment and now have drug addicts pooping in our yard. Sobriety is a choice. Shame on the City leaders for enabling this lifestyle.

Citizens who pay taxes that go towards sustaining parks and schools ABSOLUTELY deserve a voice and ultimately to vote on this issue. Not the answer to homelessness. Listen to the people!!

This will only continue to blur the line between the criminal element and those we can help, that want help. Bad idea for everyone

This is not a solution, just an ill- thoughtout action that will have unexpected and dire consequences. We can involve businesses, nonprofit orgs, highly effective individuals and communities to find/ build housing that actually helps homeless people.

Please work with the mayor and Pathways home to find more appropriate solutions to our homeless problems.

We need to focus on programs that address mental health issues, drug addiction and affordable housing, not finding dedicated places for people in need to remain homeless.

Please do not do this. You are ruining our city, I plan making very sure that anyone who does vote for it will have to own it and answer for it on election day. I am talking to YOU Murray.
