This is a risk to our children and communities. We need a proactive, controlled way of handling our homelessness issue. Thank you!

This will do NOTHING to help the homeless in the city and will only pit them against neighborhoods. What the city has been doing isn't right either but this is a knee jerk reaction to threat of lawsuit by the ACLU.

Please don't pass this legislation. It didn't work in Portland. Don't allow it here.

Hard to believe this is actually being considered. NO.

Voting for legislation like this directly threatens the safety of our children and will force us, their parents, to have to choose to either never go to another public park again, or move from the city of Seattle. Don't be surprised to see a mass exodus of families in the future.

Public spaces are no longer public when some people are allowed to LIVE in them. We cannot use parks or sidewalks that are covered in tents and garbage.

I have already sent my comments personally to city Hall. This council bill should not be passed, especially not the way it is written allowing any "public space" to be fair game for encampments. Not should there be such open wording in regards to how disputes with the city are litigated. Let's focus on getting the homeless into homes!

My taxes pay for the parks and other public lands--why are you not consulting the taxpayers? This is also a bandaid approach to a much bigger problem & a sorry excuse for a solution!
