The proposed legislation is not a viable solution to the complex problem of homelessness. Please postpone the decision on this legislation.

The mayor and the Seattle City Council seem determined to ruin our once beautiful city.

I recognize that we need to find solutions for the homeless problem in Seattle, however allowing homeless encampments to take over city parks is not the solution and takes us backward by not protecting areas that are used by children and foster positive neighborhood growth.

This is foolhardy legislation that does nothing to affect homelessness but does negatively impact our parks, and the health and safety of our citizens.

This proposed legislation will do nothing to get the homeless off the streets and into appropriate shelter. Do NOT pass this!!

This is a NO solution to our homelessness issue! Seattle City Council should be admonished for even considering such a plan. Tim Burgess is the only Council member I will vote for in the next elections.

The citizens have had enough. This council is out of touch. Drop this bill IMMEDIATELY or we will remember to drop you at the next election cycle.

if it failed in Portland, why would Seattle just go ahead and do this?

My young son and I visit Seattle parks regularly. They must stay hygenic and most importantly safe.

Who does the city council represent? Is it to much to expect leadership from our leader? Look ing forward to the next election to find leader with real solutions instead of putting our families at risk and ruining our city. Thank you Tim Burgess for being the voice of reason.

I am a palled that they would even consider this as a solution. This would affect everybody in Seattle. It would be harder for families to be able to enjoy our parks and grassy spaces. It would cause a lot of families to avoid the parks in Seattle that were created for everybody.

This is just another bandaid and puts the safety of our children at risk. this population and the city of Seattle need real solutions well thought solutions. The city or Portland has already tried this with disastrous results!

As our elected officials it is incumbent on you to do your due diligence on such pressing matters.
It would seem that has not been done with this situation.

I agree with deferring to discuss alternatives. Find other means to truly help the homeless. Allowing camping in city parks will only make the problem worse.
