This is insanity. I have had homeless family members, but this is not a solution. Rather, this will increase the divide/hostility between the groups.

I find it hard to believe you are seriously considering this very irresponsible idea. Homeless people do not belong in tents in city parks, etc. this is irresponsible to both the residents of seattle as well as the homeless community.

I am very much for helping the homeless and partner with my church to do so, but allowing public tents all over Seattle is not the way and is not addressing the real issues.

I do not want Seattle to become another Berkeley California. I lived there for 20 years. They tried this, and it doesn't work.

Please respect and follow the standard review process that environmental impacts can produce on our neighborhoods. No one is above the law or the process.

We have fought too hard to have safe green spaces in our city to have them turned into trash dumps for the mentally ill. Homeless people need safe places INDOORS. Our city’s outside spaces should be safe for all and by letting people camp in our parks you are taking that safety away. (Look at Portland! the city is being sued because they made camping legal and it turned into a nightmare)

This would be a disaster for our community, our parks, our safety and our kids. Did you see the Portland article?

PLEASE don't do this to our parks. This is not a solution to our homeless problem and creates so many others. Our kids should not have to be at risk while playing in our parks.

There is a better solution. I am against allowing sleeping in parks and streets!

Instead of providing appropriate safe haven for those in need, you are placing the rest of us at risk.

Don't turn Seattle into Portland. It didn't work there and it won't work here.

There has got to be a better way to get these people the help they need. This will do nothing to alleviate their situation.
