Please find a solution to the cause of the homeless challenge, not a band aid that puts park go-ers at risk

Not enough that they are trashing any public spaces they can but now the only spaces left we can enjoy that is relatively safe, they want to open it up and let them trash also. What about our needs as tax payers for a clean and safe place for our families and pets! Absolutely not!

Ridiculous ! This is not the solution. This was tried in Portland and failed. Why would it be any different in Seattle. I do not want this for our city.

This type of plan failed in Portland. Let's learn from their mistake.

I can barely afford to live in this city. Is this your solution for average wage earners, as well? Filthy, unsafe, disgusting, despicable. Let's put our money where it will truly help these people and our community as a whole- SOCIAL SERVICES, SUCH AS MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTION SPECIALISTS. I am embarrassed to call Seattle my home.

This is not the solution for homelessness It constitutes a lack of respect for homeless people What they need is affordable housing

more time needs to go into the consideration and ramifications of this bill. Rushing to enact this before winter in injudicious; it will also give a distorted sense of success since the public usage of the public parks declines in the winter weather, and many homeless will migrate to more hospitable climes

I sent a letter to the council stating my concerns which are also addressed here.

This legislation does not do anything to helping homeless get back on their feet and makes the city unsafe for the citizens and children of Seattle.

This is a classic band aid "solution" that will make things worse. We need comprehensive policies, mental health reform, and low income housing
