Stop Seattle From Turning Our Parks Into Homeless Encampments

Parks are not the place to put homeless people in. Please do not create a new problem to solve an existing one.

Find a better solution than storing people in parks

Seattle is a mess! Enough already! Tax paying citizens should have the right to live in a safer and healthier environment. The parks are full of derelict dopers, dirty needles, trash and feces.

I am against allowing homeless camping in Seattle parks snd public recreation facilities and request input and vote from all legal residents of Seattle before any legislation allowing camping inSeattle parks and ither facilities is passed

I wholeheartedly agree with this petition. I am so tired of seeing the trash and needles on street corner & the park. ENOUGH is ENOUGH! The time to move from parks should be zero.

I think this law is a nonsense. Why the hell am I paying my taxes and working hard? I want the parks and city streets to be clean, safe and secure. Help this people to get up on their feet and change their lives. Or take them to your own home. Don't create a mess and also it will atract more people to the city. You guys are out of your mind.

The rise in Seattle homelessness is mainly due to the rampet increase of heroin and opiate use. Turning neighborhood parks into campgrounds is not going to solve this problem. Your time and the people's money would be much better spent on dealing with the actual underlying disease than just a symptom of it.

As the father of a little girl, how can trust her safety in parks when unregulated and criminal activity flourishes.

The council majority's proposal is misguided. It will lead to the destruction of Seattle's parks and greenbelts. Vote them out and repeal the law, if it passes, at the next election.

Give the homeless real homes.

Yes they are people with rights but as a user of parks and a taxpayer who likes too see my tax money going to improving the neighborhoods in which I live and work, this ordinance is misguided.

This is not a good solution to this problem with so many variables. More focus needs to happen on actual housing, mental health, and addiction services. This is not a well thought out proposal.
