Parks are for people to enjoy safely, and we shouldn't have to worry about bringing our children to play in them and finding needles. This is not a solution to the homeless problem and ruins our public spaces.

There are more appropriate ways to deal with developmental disability, mental illness and/or addiction. This is both a danger & liability to the city and it's population.

This is absolutely insane. It will turn the parks into a wasteland that cannot be safely enjoyed by regular citizens

This Bill will continue to make Seattle less Safe for the hardworking people of Seattle Not to mention the amount of tax dollars it will drive away due to conventions and tourists not returning or going somewhere else where they feel safer. Kudos to Tim Burgess. He get it. the rest of you need to wake up and be a little more thoughtful in your decisions before you continue to ruin a good city with your shoot from the hip law making.

The quality of life in Seattle is declining in a big way. I guess the council figures people will stop locating here if they make the city more grunge. Maybe then housing prices will go down.

This is a poor solution to our homeless problem. It merely spreads out the encampment that the city cleared out under I-5 to the rest of the city. The city needs to work with organizations currently offering housing. This type of program failed in Portland. Why does Seattle think it will work here?

Please don't allow homeless camps in our city parks without considering everything in this petition.

This proposition needs more time for scrutiny. if people are allowed to tent in parks, we citizens will be denied park use. Not fair. Other options must be explored. I do not want to be stepping over people living on the sidewalks, parks, and other piblic places.

We need another solution. Portland already tried this and it didn't work. Having the homeless camp in our parks and public places would have a negative impact on businesses and people trying to enjoy our open spaces. NO!

Parks should be kept as parks that we can all use safely. They are not campgrounds.

Please defer Council Bill 118794 until a proper study on community impacts can be made. This bill could have dangerous impacts on the Seattle community including but not limited to public safety, public health, and environmental health. We can do better to help our homeless community and housing in public parks is not the solution.

The proposed legislation is neither compassionate nor effective. It's a stunt, and not a productive approach to the horrible issue of homelessness.

Protect our families and keep the sidewalks passable. Homeless people should not have more rights than other citizens. We give $ and time to help - do not force this on our neighborhood

A totally insane way to try to solve this terrible situation. And, it is not mamanageable . Our parks do not need to become garbage dumps. Certainly, not all homeless are addicts and tramps, but there has to be a better way to do this.

I could not care more about mentally ill people and homelessness but this is not a solution. Don't ruin our city because you don't have the courage to fix this problem. Please channel the community concern into real solutions that help our less fortunate. My sister suffered from mental illness before she died and many of her friends were homeless until they found the right program and they now lead lives we can all be proud of. Thanks. Tom Hughes
