This is a terrible temporary solution at best. Please do not allow this to happen.

Please, let's think of deeper solutions to homelessness rather than giving an okay to spoil our public parks and everyone's quality of life. We need legitimate help for people in transition!

We cannot ignore tents pitched in front of our doorways. My neighbors have called the police and reported tents pitched on the sidewalk in front of our building in Pioneer Square. Nothing has happened!!!

Is there an ulterior motive, is this just part of some secret plan yet to be revealed? Is it your thought that having lost our parks to homeless people from across the country, and with our parking strips packed with tents, open air toilets, and hazardous waste, the poor and middle class can be made to pay for an actual housing solution in the state with the most regressive tax system in the country?

Portland tried this and it failed miserably. Leading to an increase in homelessnes & taking over city protected greenbelts.

This bill is NOT A SOLUTION! This is not a solution for the tax payers who would like to safely use our public lands. This is not a solution for the homeless people who need a real place to live.

No camping in our city parks!!!! This is completely unacceptable on so many levels. These public areas should be clean and safe for our children to use and frankly, our homeless population deserves better.

What happen to tax payer rights. I pay taxs that this council uses as it chooses to devalue our city and community. This needs to be stopped

Should the homeless who refuse to go into safe housing because of their own specific list of what is acceptable to them be allowed to trash the city? Will the parks department personnel be cleaning up after these people. Many people seem to have a problem finding garbage receptacles. Facilities should be provided to assist these unfortunate souls improve their situation. Showers and clothes washing facilities would make people feel more like trying.

Insane, as everything this mayor & city council do!! Who is going to monitor for sex offenders & criminals? Oh, but it is all about the poor homeless-who cares about the working, tax payers Mayor, city council: invite them into YOUR yards!

We ALL deserve to enjoy our parks. It is, however, not a place in which to live. The homeless need other living arrangements & care. This bill is not the answer. I want to continue to enjoy our local parks -- free of homeless, free of garbage, free of being fearful.

This legislation will do nothing to address homelessness and will create a host of problems for neighbors, the police and other city service providers.

Stop this awful nonsense . We are being over run by people moving here because we are too liberal. Yes you can be too liberal.

I oppose allowing camping in public parks and spaces.

Another example of our mayor and city council trying to transform the city to benefit minority interests and ignore concerns of those of us who have lived here many years. Hopefully Murray will be yet another one term mayor.

This sounds like it will make it so that I will have to let the homeless use our bathrooms etc. Seriously? This is very invasive to all of the businesses.

This was tried out in Portland and it had disastrous consequences. Please take more time for consideration.

Please don't open our parks to homeless camping. My wife and I, the tax paying and voting constituents that you represent, will not vote for any city council members in any future election who vote in favor of this legislation.
