At first I thought this ordinance was a joke, that nobody could possibly be serious about this plan. Our elected officials may become unelected if they prevail with this travesty.

There has to be a more permanent solution to this issue and one that doesn't perpetuate the current problem. If a majority of them had some accountability and ownership of the solution then there would be more of a vested interest to keep people off the streets.

This is not good for any of the citizens of Seattle. It doesn't help the homeless and it is unhealthy for all residents of our communities. There must be a better answer.

Not sure what this society is coming to As a law abiding tax paying home owner I'm SHOCKED at this proposal and will gladly sign it. My thoughts are do we need people on the counsel that accurately represent the others like me out there. I don't think they are serving the people paying their wages

How to take the 20th largest city in America with the 3rd largest homeless population and turn it in the 20th largest city with the leading homeless population... pass this bill.
This bill contains a jaw dropping list of items the "city shall provide" with no accountability to those being provided to.

As a taxpayer, I am outraged that the majority of my City Council would consider implementing such a far-reaching plan. I have been born and raised in Seattle, and had hoped to retire here as well...

Parks where kids play and are close to, are not a place for homeless people to live.

There are many industrial areas with green spots that now house multiple multiple homeless. It's an eye sore because of the trash that accumulates but fairly harmless to a community that consists mainly of commuters rolling by at 40 mph and folks who vacate the where-houses they work in at 6pm. Our City Parks, on the other hand, are places of daily refuge for local residents and their safety in these area's should not be compromised by a City Council with no plan for dealing with homeless. Here's a idea for at least raising funds to deal with the growing situation. All new building development, both commercial and residential must put .5% of total investment toward a City coffer specifically set up to manage the homeless situation which would encompass policing and cleanup of area's deemed appropriate for temporary encampments.
I absolutely disagree with this idea. Protect our green spaces, our children, and our land value.
We need real housing ..... Please leave our green spaces and parks for everyone in the community.
Solves nothing, destroys neighborhoods. Stupid plan.
Please don't do this. Build shelters.
