I don't want homeless camps in our parks! I didn't mind them in a church yard because they were screened and kept out drugs and alcohol. I doubt that the people allowed to camp in parks will be continually screened for drugs and alcohol!!! We don't need needles in parks!!

Please consider working on the root of this problem instead of putting our parks and neighborhoods at risk.

Please do not turn our city parks into homeless encampments. This is outrageous. It will not solve the homeless problem. It will destroy the parks and create a public health disaster. I have a hard time believing this is even being considered.

Please do not let the few green spaces available to my grandkids become so dangerous that they can't play even with my supervision. The RV people in my park (Sandel) have made us all nervous due to the drug sales at all times of day even though the police make them move as often as they are allowed. 2 year olds should not have to learn not to step in human waste!!

This is not what our parks were developed for. These drug users need treatment not enablement. I am tired of finding used needles on our playgrounds & parks.

This has failed miserable in other cities that have tried. And in cities that have some success in dealing with homeless problems, it is NEVER part of the solution.

Not a good plan. This will only enable litter, public intoxication, needles left in our kids parks. No, No, No

This is a bad idea for everyone, including homeless people who will still be homeless.

Parks and public areas must be safe for all citizens. A better solution must be found.

Like other's comments, I too am perplexed as to why the City Council would move forward with a plan that failed miserably in Portland. Our parks should be accessible to everyone, not just the homeless. Just recently my dog had got a hypodermic needle stuck in her paw in a Green Lake park which required a vet visit. It will only get worse if this plan moves forward.

Insane. City politicians net getting any bites from me if this passes. Taxpayer family safety and property protection should take priority.

I have written to council members indiviually to voice by opposition to Council Bill 118794. This will not do anything to end homelessness but will make it even harder for our city to provide resources as campers spread throughout our public parks and other areas. It will take away important clean and safe recreational areas from the general public. I oppose this ordinance and would like to see our resources spent on more both transitional and affortable housing, mental health and chemical dependency resources to help the homeless population.

Please let us live in civilization and provide real help for the homeless, while keeping our parks and children safe. Do not expand The Jungle to the entire city!

This is completely irresponsible legislation - my husband has been attacked, my tenant had his ear bit off, campers cross I-5 have significantly changed where I exit, but the campers could care less if they get hit or not, and a camper exploded in my neighborhood putting homes and neighbors in danger. This is the worst legislation ever - I am vehemently against this.

Outrageous and expect litigation to block the City Council's ridiculous proposal to let drug addicts homeless mess makers to camp in parks that THE TAXPAYERS PAY FOR. The council should be rounded up and fired ! I'm sure none of the campers would be allowed to camp in their fancy neighborhoods. Ridiculous!!!

I strongly oppose the use of our city parks as places for homeless people to squat on.

This is not how we solve this problem. Our taxes go to our green spaces and to turn our green spaces into an unsustainable solution for the homeless problem is not the right course of action.
