We need to keep our parks as public space.

Worst idea since 2nd Avenue bike lanes. Or mandatory composting. Or safe havens for heroin addicts. Or the Pronto bike bailout. Or the tunnel with no downtown exits. Or paying a contractor $300k to figure out how to secure the jungle.

Please listen to Councilmember Burgess and say "no" to CB 118794 and start in to explore and invest in a more permanent solution to homelessness that does NOT turn Seattle into a national homeless magnet.

Please don't do this to ALL citizens of this city without CONSIDERABLY more debate on the issue.

We the tax payers of Seattle are paying to use our parks. I want to feel safe and not have these parks trashy with needles and human waste!

This proposed solution is unacceptable and the Seattle City Council knows it… an easy, effortless fix that will destroy this beautiful city. There is a better way to solve this issue but it will definitely take more effort. Please stop this ridiculous madness.

This idea is SO absurd on the face., I. Can't. Even. So sad to see such a beautiful city be ruined by such disingenuous and incompetent elected representatives. I hesitate to call them "representatives" because they are NOT representing the will of the people, and they are not representing the needs of the homeless in any meaningful way. And I certainly refuse to call them leaders. Just disgraceful, and sad, and outrageous.

I have never seen a worse piece of legislation in my 30 years in Seattle. I say this as the most liberal voter in my large Seattle social circle. There is no excuse for codifying homeless encampments.

This is not a way to help the homeless! I want my hard earned tax money used to help people through social programs not paying to pick up trash in what are arguably some of the most beautiful public parks in the United States

Let's find a solution that provides real shelter while preserving our parks and other public spaces for all people.

This is not the answer and steals the parks from the tax payers who want to use them.

SCC: This proposal is completely unacceptable. Please look at the similar (failed) legislation in Portland. Nobody wants this.

This is completely irresponsible and will attract 1000s of homeless around the country to take over our public spaces. Our home values will plummet and nobody will want to live here. Ridiculous.

Please don't vote on this now. Take time to really figure out a solution. Camping in green belts and parks is wrong for everyone.

This did not work in Portland, it will not work here.

This legislation once passed will not be able to be rolled back. You will in the end lose significant income from the reduction in housing values. Schools, emergency services and community services will not be able to be funded.
