Millions earmarked for solving the homelessness problem and your answer is letting them camp in our parks? The voters are disgusted.

Taxpayers deserve safe clean parks. And streets and sidewalks. A solution is needed but this is NOT it.

This is a bad idea. It would just move the jungle to the parks.

Parks will be despoiled and their environment degraded. We have an obligation to fight homelessness. We need to provide homes, not parks. Then we have made nothing better.

Wraparound services and permanent housing are the answer. This idea is an abomination for all concerned.

In August a homeless man living in Woodland Park threatened and harrassed a group I was in for at least 15 minutes and it took the police a half hour to arrive. He was violent, furious, ranting at us that we didn't have a right to be there making noise and bothering him. I feel unsafe going there now.

I will move out of the city if the proposal is approved. Do not feel safe anymore to take my baby to the parks.

Homeless people need homes, not camping sites in our public spaces. We all need our public spaces to remain safe and open to all of us.

Please do not allow camping in parks. These encampments are not safe. We need parks to be safe for children and others using the park for their designed purposes.

Enough already. This proposal is an outrage and absurd for so many reasons.

Our parks should be safe for residents, children, and visitors. As they are now, I do not feel safe in them at night and sometimes during the day, there are areas with unsanitary garbage and accompanying smells. These are not what parks are for.

This has got to stop. Our city is becoming a total embarrassment. The tourist industry brings in revenue and the city spends our taxes on this kind of crap. Bring in the revenue to a city we can be proud of. It has become a horrible situation and will impact a huge source of revenue as people shy away from a city with no pride.

Finding a solution to homelessness is a tangled and complicated issue. Allowing camping in public spaces is not the answer. I worked with tent city 3 this summer when it was hosted at St.joseph church and was impressed by the governess and cleanliness. I would also like to see a coordinated effort and unifying approach by all the non-profit services, which will require an investmen in technology.

I am a very frequent parks user and a tax payer. Please don't turn the parks out taxes pay for into a dangerous and dirty place to be!

What are they thinking? Council persons should let them camp in their own yards if they are truly committed.

I support the desire to help our homeless population, but defiling public parks is not the answer.

I am a resident and home owner in West Seattle. I am strongly against the encampments in our Seattle parks. There are better and more viable options that the city must consider and implement.
