Obviously, I fully support this petition. I have already sent a separate letter to Councilmembers Gonzalez, Herbold and Burgess letting them know that I oppose the adoption of the ordinance.

Homeless people need help to BETTER their lives; this is just enabling them to perpetuate a lifestyle that is destructive to themselves and their communities. They need help. Not this.

Our public parks our for everyone's enjoyment, families and children. I am appalled that our City Council wants to turn them into homeless camps. All of them will soon be "Jungles" where no one is safe.

I strongly disagree with the solution to our blight of homelessness, to allow homeless encampments in most of the city's parks. As a home owner: when you buy a $500,000 home you do not expect a homeless camp next door to you. This will make some think of selling and moving to another city to live . Our tax dollars should be building pod accommodations and/or taking over empty buildings for housing (such as the bank building at Stone N & 130thN as a make shift shelter. Tax paying families will now not feel safe/free to utilize the neighborhood parks that drew us here in the first place.

I think that a more in-depth study is needed that looks at other alternatives. What we need is more housing for the homeless.

It failed in Portland. Being homeless can give u more "Rights" than paying taxes. All of us must follow rules to live in this society. Many homeless people just don't want rules..
