This is a guise for helping the homeless which provides no real solutions. Instead, it will increase animosity towards the homeless population and create potentially unsafe situations, such as the 'jungle' which is being currently cleared out. It will stretch Seattle's police force and overall, implementing the same program in Portland showed no positive outcomes. Take your time, find funding, and work towards tangible solutions that will provide actual help for the homeless population.

No camping. Keep our parks safe and clean! Build affordable housing with services for the homeless. Camping in our parks is not a solution homelessness!

I feel for the people that either choose or find themselves in unfortunate situations that cause them to sleep outdoors, but I can't believe our city council thinks this is the best route for the city of Seattle. Please take a step back, look at the big picture, and propose logical bills that serve the desire of the majority.

This plan does not use best practices and a similar plan failed miserably in Portland, OR. We can do better.

I want a sustainable solution for homelessness that addresses the roots of why people become homeless and especially tackles the issue of mental health -- and this approach is not tailored for this complexities.

The city needs to find actual solutions for homeless individuals in our community. Public parks need to be preserved and protected.

I strongly oppose this proposal and sincerely hope that the city council comes to its senses and votes no. This would be a disaster for our city.

I think every provision of this proposal is completely crazy and does not in any way deal with the underlying problems of mental illness, alcoholism and drug addiction.

This plan has already failed in Portland, I don't want to try it here.

Please don't create a new problem for more citizens in an attempt to fix a real problem for others. Greenspace and parks were not created to house people or provide camping in cities

Do not do this to our beloved parks! Get them housing! This is NOT a solution!

This is a bandage solution for the City Council to avoid the real source. Affordable housing at the top! This is an epidemic that will not go away! Look at Portland Oregon, try walking out of the Train Station!

This is the most idiotic plan I have heard so far. As a PPatch member I have seen mounds of garbage and needles and campers defecating in our garden on a near daily basis. It would make our sidewalks and parks unsafe and unsanitary. It did not work in Portland and will not work in Seattle. A 2 year trial period is absurd.

I am absolutely against this ordinance. All city counsel that votes for this should not be voted back into our government.

Find them housing, not more places to camp!
