This is NOT a solution and is not sustainable.

I am very empathetic to our homeless citizens and those who are mentally ill. However, allowing these individuals to camp in public spaces is misguided and will create potentially dangerous situations for others, including children, especially if illicit drugs are involved. There are other ways to help the homeless through shelters, micro homes, and safe and secure properties managed by the city. I implore the city council not to enact this Bill but allow more time for joint city council/citizen work groups to land on a better solution for everyone. Thanks.

This is not a viable short or long term option!

I'm sympathetic to this cause. But this is NOT the solution.

This is not the right answer to addressing our homeless problem. We need to build housing and help people get off the streets.

Camping in Parks was already tried in Portland and found to be a dismal failure

Put energy into programs that combat homelessness not into destroying our parks

There are better, more stable and long term approaches to help the homeless, a goal we all share.

Please don't do this. There are real and compassionate solutions to this issue. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM.

This is absolutely not a viable approach to the problem! Please take the time to further explore and develop better options that work well for ALL concerned and effected. Thank you for your service.

This is not the way to help homeless people. Mental-health help, drug-and-alcohol rehab, social readjustment and real housing and support are what's needed and residents will pay for a real plan. Also, don't make us afraid to use our parks. This is a seriously losing strategy in the long term.

This proposal, in addition to doing little if anything to alleviate homelessness, threatens the quality of life in established neighborhoods.

We can do better than a bill that has already failed in one major city, and we are obligated to protect our parks and open spaces. Stop the madness and propose real solutions.

Enough is enough! The jungle is not suitable for homeless but our parks and side walks are!! Portland tried this with horrible results and you can read the article in the Seattle Times. I do not pay high taxes to live in a homeless camp. You need to use a data driven approach with outcomes to figure the problem out instead of the shotgun approach you are using now.

Why do something that just failed miserably in Portland?

Absolutely against this. How many of our leaders live in close proximity to these parks. Use imminent domaine and turn into housing.
