We can not allow this to happen. Spreading the homeless problem around the city, parks, sidewalk, etc will only degrade the beauty and safety of Seattle. We need a more thoughtful and practical approach

We need to balance the homeless problem with reasonable expectations for preserving our Parks for their intended uses. Allowing anyone to appropriate parks for their personal space is contrary to the use of parks by all for recreational purposes.

This is the worst idea I have seen in a long time. I can't believe it's even an issue. Pull your heads out of your ass and think about the impact this will have on children trying to enjoy the parks.

Ruins the parks for everyone. The city needs a permanent solution.

This is not a solution to this problem. Find them real homes. Don't destroy our parks and playfields by allowing people to move into them.

I love this city for the beautiful public space we have for our community. As a mother, our parks is a welcome refuge for our kids and family. Please do not turn our city parks into housing for the homeless. This is not the solution!

I do not believe that it is a waste of time to enforce laws, ordinances, and policies that are intended to increase peace and stability, or to preserve our shared public resources. I would like to see an increased partnership between the city and the numerous organizations throughout king county who actively strive to help people who are in between places.

I am all in favor of better services and support for the homeless. But with all due respect, this is not a reasonable solution.

Bob Wallaces' article is right. The city council is trying to destroy Seattle, especially with the "giving" of Seattle parks to the homeless, cyclists, and drug dealers. Election time will be fun!

Let's help the homeless by remediating fraud in our current $50M spend, not by giving away our parks.

I have watched seven adults take over a pocket park by The Seattle Center. Seven. These seven individuals have determined that their desires handily outweigh and overrule the desires of the hundreds of Seattle citizens who pass by that small park every single day. Can anyone on city council really look us in the eye and say, "That's absolutely fair"? Remember that you are elected to represent and implement the collected will of the people in your district.

Please, let's work toward a long term realistic solution. Housing first! Real housing.

I'm all for finding solutions to our growing homeless problem, however using our parks is not the answer. I've personally seen many examples where kids sports practices and games are interrupted because of the homeless camps in our city parks.
