The parks shoukd be for everyone to enjoy. How can we turn them over to a small minority of homeless (approximately 4000 in King County ).

This is an incorrect approach to the issue of homelessness. It is treating the symptoms instead of the problem. I should not be penalized safe use of my tax supported parks and streets due to a problem that I did not create, and that I expend resources on trying to solve.

Keep the push for additional housing and wrap around services for the homeless, but do not open parks to campers. Keep public spaces public. "Homes", in whatever form them take, are private and do not belong in public parks.

The homeless belong in shelters and the city should be working with non-profits and other social services who work with the homeless population for a better solution! Our parks are for the children and teens to play and for community engagement. There are people of all ages jogging along our parks, playing basketball, having a picnic/birthday parties. they will become places where drugs and violence will takeover and unusable for us taxPAYERS! Many parks are nearby schools and are used by schools and daycares. You are exposing our children to potential dangers. Where will the children go if the parks are full of garbage on the grounds, the smell of drugs and alcohol, and dangers of a toy or ball getting too close to one of the homeless tents? Rethink this dangerous solution and learn from Portlands experience!

Buy homes for the homeless, not tanks for the police.

Stop focusing on a small group of citizens while a majority suffer from their actions with poor quality of life and lack of law and order.

There are children walking up and down Seola Bearch Drive. I have 3 grandchildren that will not be able to enjoy or neighborhood anymore if this will be pushed through

We simply cannot allow this to happen to our city parks and parking strips/sidewalks. Parks need to be a clean, safe, welcoming place for our families and kids to play. This is not the way to help the homeless. We need more dedicated, supervised transitional encampments with outreach, drug addition, and mental health services and placement, not this free-for-all abuse of our city parks and the parking strips in front of our houses and businesses.

I do not believe the council members should have the right to change the reason parks were created and paid for into homeless encampments for exclusive use by certain people.

As a woman who likes to go for a solo run or walk after work, and utilizes our local parks for this (Discover and Carkeek), the solution to open the parks to homeless camping makes me feel unsafe. I've already reduced my walks near the Ballard Commons because of unwanted comments as I walk by groups of men on the sidewalks, and I have witnessed many drunken arguments in front of the library which makes me avoid the area.

This is INSANITY! Stop the madness and let's not see Seattle turn into some 3rd world looking city. I absolutely do not approve of this initiative. NO
