Not the way to help homelessness, take all our abandoned building and turn them into hostels or something but make it a challenge in some way. I grew up going to these parks and I want my children to grow up loving these park as much as I did and still do.

Please think of how this continues to empower homeless people to take over all public spaces. Providing shelters and mental health assistance is more value able than endangering both those with and without homes.

I don't want our parks open to camping.

This isn't a solution! Support groups, Community outreach, mental health investments- these are solutions!

Council bill 118794 does a disservice not only to Seattle residents but to the homeless it is meant to help.

Please do not turn our city parks and public spaces into homeless encampments. It is important to keep our parks safe and to maintain their use as originally intended. Please find better ways to house the homeless!!

This allowance of public camping has now become a real health hazard to all. Cannot be allowed. This is not the correct solution. The powers that be need to get together with each other and the public, brain storm, seriously look at other areas where their implemented ideas are working towards a positive solution. To have to walk thru human feces just to get into your workplace on most days is not acceptable. The people that have to do the clean and be constantly exposed to these bacteria ridden areas are most at risk. Not good for anyone, the homeless, or those that have to clean up the mess.

This isn't the way to work on the problem. All of us, including the homeless campers, need a better solution with real housing.

This is not a solution but the creation of many more problems as I see it.

I am extremely concerned about the danger of having homeless tents in Woodland Park where children play and adults ride their bikes daily. There is a popular summer camp for children every summer at Woodland Park and it would be canceled if the park has tents, human feces and used needles in the property.

I am all for helping the homeless but this is just wrong.

This is just another example of how this current City Counsel is failing the people of Seattle. They always look at short term solutions that don't work, have been tried and have failed in other cities. Let's start looking at solutions that get to the root of the problem(s) and put those measures into place.

I understand homelessness is a problem and one that is becoming a bigger problem in Seattle. Communities all around the nation are struggling to provide safe and clean parks for their residences. Allowing homeless groups to reside in parks is not the answer. I hate to say it, but as a tax-payer who works, lives and plays in Seattle, I do think I have more rights to city parks than a homeless group. Whatever solution Seattle comes up with, tax-payers will still be paying for it-but please, not our parks!
