This is an utterly absurd notion. O'Brien needs to have a recall campaign initiated against him.

The only solution to homelessness is to build housing.

Please protect our parks for our recreation and not for homeless use. This is not what we as taxpayers pay for to have the homeless make their home in public parks.

This proposal is truly unprecedented insanity and must be stopped. I didn't vote for the ACLU to run Seattle.

Homeless people should not be allowed to live in places children play

The city needs to find a way to help homeless people, and this "solution" will not help them in any way.

The stupidity of this bill is mind boggling. This does not help the homeless and it is a danger to the people of Seattle.

There has to be a better solution than sacrificing our public green spaces.

We need a better solution. I understand the desire to be compassionate, but this bill is awful. While the sentiment is "nice", it ties the cities hands behind it's back, preventing appropriate measures to be taken.

I know something needs to be done but, this is not the solution.

We need to keep safe areas for our families to gather and feel safe. Having homeless encampments is not putting our children first.

Our City will never be safe again.

This is a very flawed and risky plan!!

When I first heard about this, it seemed like it couldn't be real. If someone is camping (ie living) on public land, then it can't be used by anyone else.

I live in Wallingford and am sick of the street people. Move them to Portland. When is the city council going to wake up and give the city back to the taxpayers??
