This is not the solution for helping the homeless and impacts the safety our our communities.

Not in our town!!! Our kids deserve better than to have to avoid drug dealers and addicts in order to just go to the park.

Unconscionable that the city would put this to law when it has proven a failure in Portland. And we have plenty of examples current parks &green belt use disasters. We can do better.

This bill is misguided at best. Stop the insanity of turning our parks and sidewalks into appalling garbage dumps

I live within two blocks of Carkeek Park and the end of the D bus line. There are already too many homeless men riding the bus and camping out overnight. I no longer feel safe walking to the grocery store at night and have even had some uncomfortable situations occur in the daytime. Carkeek Park and the watershed needs protection from becoming a camping ground, not the green light for destroying it.

Stop allowing camping all over our great city. Find other ways to help the people in need. We are tired of seeing our city deteriorate in front of our eyes.

The plan to allow homeless to camp in all of the spots identified throughout the city just spreads the misery out and makes it impossible for coordinated help to reach them. Sanitation nightmares will erupt, garbage will overflow.. Who is going to pay for ports potties at hundreds of locations, and garbage pick up? How does it help anyone to spread things far and wide? I am a life long Seattle resident and hands down, this is the worst idea I have heard...

Definitely not the right solution for Seattle and does not weigh the desires of the taxpaying residents in consideration of creating such a bill.

As a Seattle resident who regularly uses the city parks I am strongly opposed to Council Bill 118794. I have a business in Pioneer Square and walk through the tent sidewalks near the mission on my way to work so I am very aware of the state of the situation and do not think it should be expanded further into parks and more city streets.

City taxpayers will be required to provide water, sanitation and other services or pay a $250 fine to each homeless person affected (per violation per day). REALLY??? Does anyone add up all of the dollars donated to individual charities, daily handouts, plus the funds that the city, state, and federal government provide to help people. Add the police, aide cars, hospital costs and it is staggering. Obviously money itself isn't a solution. Camping wherever someone wants to isn't a solution. Talking over parks that the rest of the population have contributed to over the years is no solution. Apparently the mayor and the city council want to be voted out the next election!!!

Save our parks. They're a fantastic resource for all of us esp the kids.

This is a terrible idea and no solution to the homeless problem in our city.
