Please do not enact this bill. It does not solve a problem, but certainly creates another. It will lead to the devastation of our parks that we all have a right to use safely.

This bill should be abandoned. It will create many problems and solve none . The Mayor needs to provide a detailed audit of the $50 million in expenditures and explain why lobbyists and special interest groups have the only voice with this City Council.

This is a ridiculous idea that will hurt Seattle homeless more than it will help them.

This is completely irresponsible and does not address the problem.

I am sorry that our local, state, and federal governments no longer care for the mentally ill in our communities (for a number of reasons). However, I have children, pay taxes, work hard. There is open air drug use, needles, garbage, feces, etc. I have feared for my safety more than once in our beloved city. I am tired of it! NO MORE CAMPS! NO MORE PANDERING TO THE SMALL BUT VOCAL, FREE LOADING "NGA/NON-PROFITS" THAT FEED OFF OUR TAX DOLLARS WHILE ONLY PERPETUATING THE PROBLEM!

Please don't do this. There are other solutions to homelessness that other cities have deployed. Having homeless camp in our parks will basically make the parks not useable. I have two kids (10 & 7) who regularly use parks to play, play sports, and for our whole family to hike in. There are other ways.

Definitely voting all the city council members out on next election. Complete disgrace. Why don't we pass it so they can sleep on city council member's property if they cared so much?

This is not a solution to the homeless problem in Seattle.
The City Council needs to get serious about pushing a housing first solution. This law will only make these encampments and the crime and public sanitation issues around them more acute.

This is unacceptable. Parks and sidewalks should be safe for all citizens to use. They should not be used for homeless people to do as they will.

Total insanity to even suggest such an idea. Unless you want to make the problem of homelessness worse.

Parks are not a home for the homeless. The city of Seattle has so many resources for the homeless that aren't currently being used enough. Please do not destroy our beautiful parks and threaten our safety. Thanks, Jack

Stop ruining our city! There are already several number of tents on the burke gilman trail among the bushes between Fremont and Fred Meyer (45th). Garbage and beer bottles are all around. Will there be anything done for those homeless who are drinking alcohol
in public parks??
