Not a solution to have homeless camps near children. Parks are used by young moms with babies , high school kids and runners, people trying to find peace and activities after long day work, older folks out for some exercise, etc etc. parks not a solution!

Camping in city parks is a horrible use of a taxpayer property. Inconsistent with its intended purpose.

This is not a reasonable solution to help the homeless in Seattle. Taxpayers should be allowed to vote on a plan like this one.

Passing this ordinance is irresponsible. The homeless need houses and everyone deserves access to safe parks.

We need to provide affordable housing, transitional housing, and mental health and addiction treatment.

This legislation is ill conceived and disastrous for our city. I fear it will create more problems for the homeless than it solves. The police will be overwhelmed at a time when they face complaints of lack of responsiVanessa already. Please vote NO.

Council Bill 118794 does not help decrease homelessness. There are other programs that actually provide a path to homes for homeless individuals and families that have a better chance of working, including Pathways Home, Seattle’s person-centered plan to reduce homelessness in our city supported by Mayor Murray. We should get behind this instead. Council Bill 118794 creates more personal and public expense and destruction of a safe environment for residents of neighborhoods, their children in their schools, and in their homes. We want to help, but this causes more problems.

The Seattle City Council has lost their minds! It feels like they are actively trying to devalue our beautiful parks and punish all of us "evil homeowner types" How did it get to something like this? I think they are addicted to creating outrage amongst the "lame and unenlightened" gainfully employed taxpayers. We're just not smart enough to realize how greedy we are to not want heroin campsites near our homes,jobs,schools,parks.....They are working in an echo chamber of radical ideology and not putting the safety of our community first. And yes, I do not consider these heroin campers as members of our community. Deal with it.

This is not a viable solution. Seattle needs to look at Salt Lake City and others who have come up with permanent, services supported housing options for our homeless.

This is an outrage. A few thousand homeless people are being put before 650,000+ residents of Seattle. No parent in their right mind will want to take children to parks anymore. This is not safe
