There are better alternatives that cost less money that solve this problem. Take a look at Boston and how they handle the problem. They have the same homeless population as Seattle with only a 128 homeless living on the street and spend 20 million dollars on the problem. United States Inter-agency council on homeliness. Stop looking for unique ways to fix a problem and start utilizing ideas from cities that have showed progress.

This plan is a band aide and doesn't solve the growing issues that we as a community are facing! We need a long term plan, not more camping. With more camping options, I am concerned about the health and safety of all involved, not excluding public sanitation. It is time to look at low income housing options!

I am appalled this is even being considered by the council, I live near the arboretum and am watching all the investment being made by taxpayers to improve this park, shocking you would hand it over to the homeless without a public comment period and time to vote them out of office!!!!!

Please vote against allowing homeless people to live in parks and other public places. Tax payers have to pay for the homeless sanitation or the tax payers have to pay each homeless person $250.00 a day! This is insane! It does not make any sense!!

We need a realistic non punitive plan for both the homeless & the home owners/renters....we are all citizens that deserve equal consideration of the impact of any plan to resolve the homeless plight.

This is a foolish proposal that doesn't serve the homeless or the community at large.

I live in downtown Seattle and am appalled at this bill. In the past 14 years living conditions for taxpaying citizens, including safety and cleanliness, have deteriorated to an incredible degree. ENough!

I have given the council a lot of leeway, but if Lincoln Park is overrun with people who don't respect its wild places, I will be voting to remove the entire council (less Burgess).

I have children and this measure will make our parks even more unsafe than they are now. My tax dollars have gone to the beautification of parks and this is going to destroy our public spaces

This city council is smokin too much pot at their meetings!! What a travesty to this once beautiful city. Don't let people take a big dump on our parks, literally!!!

One of the main reasons I love about Seattle are all the beautiful parks. Please don't allow the homeless to set camp there. They will ruin the parks.

Afraid to walk by Ballard Commons because of who is hanging around and using drugs there.

The Seattle City Council needs to realize that this "experiment" did not work in Portland. Let's try a different way to help our homeless.
