Stop Seattle From Turning Our Parks Into Homeless Encampments

I am firmly opposed to allowing any camping - for any reason - in Seattle's public parks, playgrounds and ball fields.

I do not believe the city has a right to fine the taxpayers for not providing water , sanitation and other services - how will the city make sure those services are there - they have not done it yet and making us responsible for their lack of action and lack of addressing this issue is totally outrageous and wrong. It does not address anything but really get the taxpayers in this city angry and will stop us from using our parks with our kids - where is the safety - the police cannot even provide that with our homes. I agree 100% with Tim Burgess - this is totally irresponsible.

Please keep our parks so that everyone can use them!!

It is totally irresponsible that our city is allowing such litter, defecation and disregard for sanitation and public health. I want to see it stopped.

Maple school has a lot kids who play and walk around the park. Please consider this before you make a campament for homeless peaple.

Please vote against this bill and protect our parks. Children should not have to dodge human waste and used needles in their locals parks. The city needs to step up and pay for decent housing for the homeless.

Everyday when I am driving downtown Seattle, it looks so ugly and trashy both site of the I-5. this need to be stop.

What has happened to the emerald city? It is a garbage dump of trash and filth on virtually every green space. What an utter failure by our elected officials and especially this mayor. Complete unmitigated disaster!

Don't try a failed system, make a new one.

Save the parks for taxpayers and families.

Do not pass this ordinance as it stands. It isa VERY unfair to businesses and us taxpayers. Why pass parks levies if they would be invaded and could not safely be used by the TAX PAYING public. I already will not go to downtown Seattle for fear of being accosted.

Actions taken by the Seattle City Council are turning our beloved city into a third world environment. The root causes of homelessness need to be addressed directly starting with mental health support, childhood/youth education and adult employment resources.

This craziness must stop. I am open to other suitable solutions for these people (our fellow Seattlites), but not in our parks. We must maintain the integrity of our few remaining parks.

This is a horrible idea and anyone that supports it will not have my support in the future

I am fully in favor of a housing first policy. This proposal does nothing to solve the problem, and raises significant safety issues
