My girlfriend has been yelled at and grabbed. My friend was attacked while we were walking to my house at night. I've seen them urinating in broad daylight. It has to be dealt with.

Turning neighborhood parks into campgrounds for the homeless carries too many known risks for our communities. It defies the purpose of the parks which are meant for peaceful recreation and preservation of natural environs and wildlife. It defies logic in that this practice is a proven failure that was abandoned by other communities. Taxpayers are willing to support logical proposals that may improve conditions for the homeless without negatively impacting citizens daily activities, their families, their home values, their peace of mind. The City Council needs to take this illogical notion off the table and work on constructive, positive solutions.

This is rediculous. I have two kids that play in the park all the time. That will end if there are homeless encampments.

Please don't open our public parks to homeless camping. There is a better solution than shifting the homeless from park to park.

I feel like this will enable more drug abuse in our city parks. More needles will be found uncapped. More trash and human excrement will scatter the ground. This bill will not work in favor of anybody, and Portland's disastrous experiment shows it.

Homeless people in Seattle are literally the worst aspect of my life, ALWAYS. This would be a huge mistake.

I'm a taxpaying citizen and as such I deserve to be able to go to the park without worrying about being robbed or hurt by a mentally ill person.....

Living close to Rainier and Dearborn and seeing homelessness in my neighborhood even I know this is not the solution. No to our parks.

Please don't do this. It's a shockingly misguided idea.

I realize the need and the compassion of taking care of our fellow citizens, but truthfully this is not a solution and proposing it and feeling proud of it is false progress. Housing people in homes are real progressive solutions and liberal politics, not allowing people to be abandoned in our parks and under bridges. Allowing this as a solution is not humane to them or to the city.

This is ridiculous. It failed in Oregon and is of great to concern to safety for our children and adults in our parks.
