Long term, thoughtful solutions are needed. This is the opposite.

There are enough homeless people camping in Lincoln Park one block from my home. The park is a place where I spend time with my family and pets; I should have to worry about my dog stepping on a needle or being harrassed by people camping as I have in the past on morning walks. A park is a place for contributing members of society to enjoy. It's time for Seattle to stop welcoming the homeless with open arms and start doing something about the problem

I cannot believe any rational policy is advanced by permitting homeless camping in public spaces.

Stop turning our city into a garbage dump.

This would be such a disaster. What a short sighted incredibly ignorant answer to our homeless problem. Why am I paying taxes and park levies when I can't let my kids use them for fear of needles, human waste and trash. When O'Brien opens his home to vagrants, I'll consider this stupid idea once more.

This ordinance is an irresponsible response to dealing with a pervasive problem in our City. Our parks are not intended for camping. This should be brought to the voters.

Please, work toward a more sustainable and long-term solution that provides dignity to the homeless and protects our open spaces for all to enjoy equally.

Please do not vote on this legislation at this time. It requires more rigorous study before adoption

This seems impossible: city taxpayers will be required to provide water, sanitation and other services or pay a $250 fine to each homeless person affected

This is the most irresponsible and ridiculous thing I've hear lately... And that's saying a lot!

Allowing camping in our parks and greenspaces is an insane and heartless proposal.

Do NOT further destroy the quality of life your citizens have worked so hard to provide. This city is by the people who function, do not endanger their function by burdening them with those that live dysfunctionally.

Let's not make Seattle the homeless capitol of the nation....do not allow our public green spaces to be camp sites to homeless.

Let us be sensible and keep our parks, sidewalks, parking strips, and roadsides open to all of us, and let us not be distracted and allow disarray to take over. Keep our public places safe.

I don't see that this is a productive use of public space or a solution to the homeless problem in the city.

I want to be able to visit parks with my three young children safely, without fear of park "residents" getting in the way of children's activities. This is not the solution to end homelessness. This would just make everyone who visits parks feel unsafe.

We need a plan.
