This proposal is just crazy. I will not support this and in the next election I will not support any candidate who is connected to this action.

This approach merely seems to be a short-sighted solution to an epidemic plaguing our city and doesn't actually solve the problem but shifts to more 'out of sight' locations, closer to private residences, where children and families will be subject to the many negative impacts of homeless encampments. While I strongly support a way to help the homeless in our city, this method falls woefully short of providing a health and safe solution. With all the horrible problems highlighted with encampments like 'The Jungle' I can't believe the leaders of this city would even entertain such an approval. It's irresponsible at best.

Parks are always threatened by the Tragedy of the Commons. If we don't protect them, we lose them.

This legislation only hurts taxpayers who pay for these parks. It does nothing to help the homeless. This is by far the most irresponsible, shortsighted, and thoughtless legislation I've ever seen come out of our city council.

This is not the way to solve the problem. We have an SDOT right of way attached to our property. When we moved in we spent hundreds of dollars hauling disgusting garbage to the dump. In our case this could mean people camped practically in our yard. There are obvious security and hygiene concerns. Seattle is a wealthy city, we can do better. Martha

This is a terrible idea. It didn't work in Portland and it won't work here. Keep our parks free for public use, not camping.

Do not legislate a right to camp on public property, property that taxpayers passed levies to protect and enhance as public spaces for everyone.

This issue needs to go before the voters. The majority of the council are completely out of touch with the views of their constituents.

Opening our parks to tent campers is a terrible idea.
