In addition to Portland, if you want to see what this will look like visit anywhere in Honolulu. And they've unsuccessfully been trying to combat this problem for years, not enable it. The potential liability exposure and financial burden to taxpayers alone should be enough to warrant further study and discussion. Stop the madness.

No one is considering the cost of implementing this piecemeal servicing of the homeless and the sheer number of people who will need to be hired.

Please do not encourage homelessness by making a place for them where our children and families spend days.

There has to be a better way. This is ridiculous and irresponsible. I voted to support parks and this is not what I voted for. It makes no sense.

Enough is enough! Stop breaking our laws!
No camping in our parks. No free drug shooting places. Salvation Army has loads of empty beds!

City parks are not designed to be campgrounds. They are designed for everyone to enjoy, during daylight hours.

Our city council seems to have lost their way. They are making conservatives out of liberals.

Please put this bill on hold for 6 months and study what happened in Portland first. Learn from their mistakes. Give 6 months of studying the viability and feasibility of this plan before jumping off a cliff we cannot climb back onto.

No bill should be passed without at least a small, reasonable impact study to our city.

To have the homeless camping in our parks is truly absurd.

Most of the homeless around here aren't even from Seattle. Other cities bus their homeless here because it's cheaper than paying for services. Why don't we send the majority of them home. I'd be much more inclined to pay for mental health services, housing, and drug treatment for Seattle born homeless people.
