Who comes up with this stuff??? That's the best you can do in a city that has or should have an enormous amount of wealth?

Find a better plan. This isn't the plan. Try harder. Work together. Quit pushing your own agenda. Be leaders.

You are putting my family's safety at risk by allowing encampments in parks where they play. You will be held accountable legally if you vote this in and something happens to our children (e.g. assault, needles, etc). Listen to your tax paying reaidents and stop being a patsy to the ACLU

I do not want this ordinance enacted allowing homeless camping in our public parks.

Please keep our sidewalks clear and our parks clean. I have mobility issues but walk home from work everyday. Having clear sidewalks makes this possible. We pay a lot in taxes for parks, they need to remain places we can enjoy.

Check out what happened to the same program in Portland.

This is an incredibly irresponsible attempt to improve homelessness. I strongly support legislation and allocation of resources to work towards ending homelessness, but this will only create greater problems. We clear out The Jungle because it is unsafe and unsanitary and we then invite similar encampments to legally set up in parks that all citizens use for recreation, where children play? How would the city even begin to manage sanitation and rufuse with people legally camped anywhere throughout all the parks and greenspaces in Seattle??? I am all for creating tent communities, tiny home communities, or even better, creating actual small apartment homes for people dealing with homelessness. These type of communities allow for various resource organizations to reach folks to provide services. Having people camped throught any park or sidewalk in the city...how does that improve the sitiation for anyone? It doesn't. It will only create more issues. Do NOT enact this legislation!

I use to walk my dogs through the park and sometimes run through on the trails. Last time I was with my dogs I saw needles, and garbage everywhere. I no longer feel safe walking or running in the park.

To the Mayor and City Council of Seattle. Our cherished parks and recreation sites, are the LAST place that the homeless should be housed! Parks are NOT housing! The homeless situation needs a comprehensive plan and directing them to our parks -- that are used by a diverse and wide range of the city population for day time (not night time) enjoyment is ill planned and would be a disaster -- just like in Portland. Please defer this decision for a minimum of 6 months to review all of the options. Thank you. John Rivenburgh - Small business owner & Ballard resident

We are all totally tired of paying additional taxes - then added taxes for our inadequate Council that will not "use the $$$" and demand RESULTS! In a corporate world - one is measured by Results! I guess that isn't the case with our Gov., Mayor, or Chief or Police ! Step up and DO YOUR JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have WASTED our $$$$$$$$$$$$ We are ashamed and YOU should be as well !

This is a poorly designed bill that will decrease the quality of living in Seattle.

Totally unacceptable idea. Camping is not acceptable in urban parks. Housing needs to be affordable or we need to make more permanent shelters for indigent people. If we need to sell off some parkland to do that, then we can consider that ...but don't ruin parks by allowing camping.

The homeless problem needs to be addressed byt surrendering the city's green spaces is not the answer. They tried this in Portland and it was an unmitigated disaster. Let's not make the same mistake.

This is not a plan that works for anyone.
