Per the credibility of the Danny Westneat article, this proposal has already failed in implementation in Portland. I vote no.

Seattle's homeless "boom" is due to itinerant people realizing that Seattle is a great place to come. Many of the homeless are dangerous. I have been grabbed and hit by drunken homeless men in Ballard. To think that our parks will be filled by this type of person is frightening. Affordable housing is only a part of the problem. Drug and alcohol addiction are a much bigger issue.

If the homeless is allowed to camp in our parks, our we able to now have our family camping trips in the park? Why would one group of people be able to break laws. If I was to go into the park, start drinking and shooting up, I would expect to arrested.

Mike O'Brien is unfortunately my council person. He sponsored this horrible law. Mr. O'Brien, why do you care more about drug users ad sex offenders instead of the hard working, tax paying constituents of your district? You are a disgrace for proposing this!!

Absolute NO on this proposal. It is completely insane. Look to other cities who have viable plans for ideas.

If you allow the homeless to camp in parks the you are constructively take the parks away from there original purpose. The purpose is to allow all the people access to green space and playgrounds for children. I know I would not want to go to a place that is riddled with garbage, drug paraphernalia and the possibility of being a victim of violence.

What impact will the council proposal have on use of parks by general public?
How can we insure children will be safe?
Who and how often will needles, feces and other garbage be cleaned up at each camping location?
What is the precedent for this kind of proposal?
The city plan makes absolutely no sense to me. I agree with Councilman Burgess.
