This is a bad situation, but turning the parks where family's go into slums doesn't work. Get the camps outside the down town core.there is not enough effort being put into this.

This is the most ludicrous idea the city council has come up with.

Most of the people in Seattle aren't even from Seattle. Only people with a well paying job should move here. Homeless people should just, well, stay home.

This is a horrible idea!! Please stop homeless from camping in our parks!! This will only make a bad situation worse, and do nothing to help the homeless.

My primary concerns are for the safety and protection of our children and adults who use ours parks daily. This transfer of homeless camps to outlying parks will be an eyesore and complicate clean-up efforts of citizen groups assisting the city in maintaining a clean environment for everyone to enjoy. We need to look at other cities like Salt Lake City, Utah who have developed successful programs to provide low cost housing solutions for the homeless, drug afflicted, and mentally ill people on our streets. Please delay or postpone this plan until you have heard from the public and we have exhausted all other alternative ideas and proposals!
Thank you, Thomas Bailor

I want to feel safe in our parks, for myself and for everyone(especially children). My property taxes are paying for greenways and parks that I am no longer comfortable using.

They weren't designed as much as they were preserved so people "with homes" had someplace to go enjoy some vestige of nature at their leisure. You know you'd rather not see "the homeless" there even in the daylight hours.

I'll bet the there were many indigenous peoples that felt similarly about white settlers on their lands AND for good reason!

Seattle already has a huge problem with garbage, homelessness, and overcrowding. This is not the right way to spend our tax money. Not to mention penalizing the ones funding the project for not providing resources.

I agree that we need to provide a solution to the homelessness in our city. My heart goes out to those who find themselves in this very difficult situation. But camping in our parks and public spaces is not the answer. It didn't work in Portland so why does anyone think that it will work in Seattle.

As a small business owner I oppose this idea. The industrial streets in Ballard are bad enough without a takeover of our parks. This failed in Portland Oregon. Folks came from all over the country and it was repealed. I pay very high property taxes and my city is turning into a trash heap.

This perpetuates homelessness in Seattle. It does nothing to remedy the homeless problem, and instead allows it to fester and spread through our tax-supported parks system. Our council members are monstrously out-of-touch. Seattle's 2017 municipal elections can't come soon enough.
