You want me sign the petition before I can read it? Who put this together?

We, the taxpayers, can't afford to maintain our parks as it is. Allowing these encampments would destroy the green spaces we have for all to enjoy.

Enough is enough. Seattle is not a homeless camp for junkies

This is a terrible plan for the homeless. They need homes, shelters. NOT the city parks!!

To risk the safety of our kids by not protecting parks and play fields is crazy.

I don't know about the alarmist preface to this petition. But if Portland tried this and failed I think we can do better.

This is one of the worst proposals that the elected officials of Seattle has come up with. I see little hope for the City of Seattle if this is what the future holds.

Born and raised - as my folks and numerous siblings and cousins were - on Capitol Hill although I now am in Wedgwood. This open the parks to camping is bonkers! Beyond loony.

Take the time to study and find a better more permenant solution.

This is not the right solution to a complicated endemic problem. Don't penalize or endanger park users in favor of a short-sighted plan that does not address the issues or creat safe spaces for amyone.

Please keep our children's parks clean.

This is not a solution and will adversely affect our park systems which already experience heavy usage. Environmently this does not make sense.

This is an absolute insane legislation that the city council is ramming down the taxpayers throats!

Is this what the Seattle City Council can come up with? Do you want to drive out businesses, tourists, families? If Seattle wants to prosper, this is not the right solution.

Allowing homeless to camp all over the city is not compassionate or responsible. 60% of homeless refuse all services offered to them. This bill will just allow that group to permanently camp, and our parks will not be available for tax payers to enjoy them for the foreseeable future.

This is a dangerous proposition that will have little effect on reducing homelessness. In fact, it will probably increase the problem as more homeless come to Seattle for the benefits. It was tried in Portland, it was a disaster and was overturned after six months.
