Families cannot let their kids use the park for fear of finding used needles in play areas.

This is not the right solution.

Seattleites are a compassionate generous community but this is NOT the answer! This simple exacerbates the issue instead of addressing it not to mention the potential health and safety concerns.

I live in North Seattle withing O'Brien's district. I do not support camping in Seattle's parks under any conditions.

This is NOT the way to address homelessness, even as a temporary measure.

This bill implements an overly-long "pilot" for something that has already been proven not to work in Portland, endangering communities, and failing to address the underlying issues.

It's a HORRIBLE idea that does nothing to truly address the concerns of homelessness.

This is a bad, even ridiculous piece of proposed legislation. What was O'Brien thinking? And why are other council members (Burgess excepted) scared of speaking out against it?

I would like to know if the Seattle City Counsel uses any parks and if they are prepared to help with the daily clean up of the fields the kids use for sports. I would also like to know if the Counsel is ready to walk into traffic to walk around a tent that is set up on he side walk blocking access to the public along with the disabled. When was this measure ever a good idea? Seattle can do better...

Stop being so good to them and the ones that are in Seattle just for the freebies will move on

As a frequent user of our public parks I have concerns in regards of safety and the natural environment.

I am scared for the safety of my children at the park by our house - it will not be a safe play for them to play if this bill is passed. Camping in parks is not the solution to our homeless problem - real housing and services must be increased.

This is not the answer. Seattle city council is doing nothing more than passing the buck to other neighborhoods instead of addressing the issue practically.
