Stop the City Council trying to passi this reckless ordinance that will ruin our city parks and green spaces

I want to help the entire community. This is not the right way to solve the problem of homelessness. This will just divide the community further and hand over parks to addicts.

We need to vote these idiotic city counsel reps out as well.

This is the worst idea in addressing homelessness I've heard. Take the lead from cities who've experienced positive results - Salt Lake City, for example - and house folks without creating barriers.

Keep our parks clean, safe and enjoyable for families, children, dogs and friends. Please use the millions of dollars on a different solution to the problem.

I will also be sending a letter to the city council. Please keep our parks safe and clean for our kids. There are other solutions.

I am not in favor of opening up our parks for camping.

This is already a mix of inconvenient and dangerous on my bike route from W. Seattle. There is garbage and debris on the trail and people with either mental health or drug issues that you have to try to dodge because they are unpredictable. Expanding this to our parks is not a solution.

Open shelters with facilities, construct low income housing, do not make city parks into housing.

Please do not pass this bill. It will ruin our parks and neighborhoods, endanger our children, and attract more homeless to Seattle from other places.

Please no! We need to get the homeless off our streets and out of our parks. They need shelter and most of all treatment for mental health. Huge problem. Who knows where to even begin. Please do not let them camp. I'm beginning to feel unsafe walking my dogs in parks. And then there are my children...

While I support services such as food banks, shelters, low income housing, and restroom facilities, I adamantly oppose allowing camping in public parks. parks are for the enjoyment of all people, not a housing substitute. The council and mayor need only look to Portland to see what a disaster their camping policy turned into.

does anyone in the city council see this same type of legislation was a failure in portland Oregon?

We pay taxes for those parks and the sidewalks to be able to use them to keep them clean not so homeless people who don't pay taxes to sleep on and to leave needles and garbage laying around our children play this is not the answer to our homeless problem. The safe answer is for mental health and forcing people to accept help people are milking the system why live in pay taxes when they can live for free and get handouts from the government

This does not address the problem. This aggravates it and attracts more homeless to Seattle. It puts families and children second to drug addicts. Stop this insanity.

No homeless encampments all around Seattle.
