Please solve the problem instead of attempting to change the law to hide the problem.

we already have a backlog of maintenance for the parks and this will further erode the upkeep and beauty and safety of our parks

Our children play at these parks. Please don't allow lawlessness and drugs to take away from our children.

Keep our city safe and clean for all and do NOT make our parks homeless shelters. Spend our tax money trying to help them move forward in life rather then leaving them in their situation.

I am very solidly behind this petition and Tim Burgess. Why do something that's already failed - another bike snafu????

Stop the madness! The voters have given you enough money to start solving the problem. Our city leaders approved of a 10 year plan to end homelessness eleven years ago, which obviously did not work! We want our parks for all public use, not as camps!

Why don't you just open your own homes and property and let them stay there.

Look to Portland to see what an unmitigated disaster this was. I assume the authors of this movement will ensure that areas close to their homes won't be affected. This idea came up in San Francisco, namely turn the Presidio over to homeless. Citizens stopped such lunacy.

Propriety prevents me from explicitly expressing my dissatisfaction with our city council.

Delay this vote until you have done your homework!! This is a disastrous idea and has been shown not to work in Portland!! The United States Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) has a series of proven best practices that the City Council should have adopted last year. Boston has implemented these practices and only has 132 unsheltered homeless now and only spends $20 Million/year. Seattle will spend 62M in 2017, - stop squandering my tax dollars!!

Please work to make safe homes, not tent camps for Seattle's homeless population.

We have experienced crime, evidence of drug use (needles), nudity/urination, RVs/tents with trash alongside, etc. My husband grew up in the house that we live in and I am sad that we are being run out. Please PLEASE think carefully about helping the homeless, identifying vagrants/criminals and not enabling them, and giving us (those people with jobs) a safe place to live. Right now all are being failed.

Don't turn the public parks into a pigsty such that no one other than homeless use what belongs to everyone. Defer the vote on Bill 118794.
