As a child, I use the parks daily. I don't want to see scary people in the park.

This is ridiculous. We have programs for these people. We do not need to send the message that you can just do what you want it this city. I can get a parking ticket for being 1 minute over the limit on a meter but a homeless person can fill a park with feces and trash for a month, frightening my children? How is this helping. Seattle is not a camp ground. Council members.... represent those that pay taxes please....

There are real safety concerns here for all. We need to find a better solution than this. This was tried in other cities and failed horribly.

This is outrageous!!! Our children play in the City Parks and we have to worry about their safety as we all citizens of our city. We elected you and you are turning your backs on our people. And tents on the parking strips? What else? And we elected you?

This will be a disaster of our open parks. Let Portland be your guide.
Please, there has to be another way!

As a resident, morhet, taxpayer, and nurse, I think this proposed legislation is an abhorrent notion. This is not a good idea for all the parties involved. I foresee environmental degradation, health & safety issues for myself my children, and these vulnerable homeless people.

Although the intention should be lauded, this plan is not going to work on any level. Stop city camping!

I strongly oppose this bill that would allow homeless encampments in public parks and public spaces throughout our city. This is not the kind of help that homeless people need. We can do so much better than this!

It is one thing to have homeless people living in masses under all of our freeways, it's another to have them on our playfields and in our parks.

My son goes to Maple Elementary and for the safety of my child I'm opposed to any neighboring parks becoming a homeless encampment!

Please do not allow this to happen. I have a very aged relative across from the site at Seola Beach. This is too dangerous.

The proposed ordinance is completely unacceptable; I would love for some of Seattle's homeless to camp on the sidewalks in front of each Seattle city council members homes...

Please wait and study the impact of this legislation. As a homeowner and parent, I am appalled that our parks and sidewalks are being proposed as a solution to this problem! I do not want our parks and public rights of way taken over by the mentally ill and drug addicted homeless.
