We were in Portland in June and could not believe the # of homeless throughout the city. Please study this issue before it is implemented!

This is dangerous and goes against generations of public land use. Any sane city planners would recognize the flaws. Olmstead is turning in his grave.

Please do not destroy our beautiful parks. Our children need a place to play. There is another way to do this.

I think this bill is misdirected and harmful to the citizens of Seattle and our parks and resources.

I see 15 people living in tents in front of my house in wallingford. They throw knives at the trees for fun. We believe one of them is responsible for the arson that happened after a neighbor confronted them about stealing their mail. My neighbors are terrified of this particular group of homeless. The intimidation is daily now. Police say they cant do anything. Im going to move out of seattle.

It is absolutely not acceptable for the city to utilize treasured parks as a means to 'solve' its homeless problem. It is unsafe, unsanitary, and inconsistent with the values of public spaces that were never designed with this intent. Please DO NOT enact this bill.

Parks are not the solution to homelessness. Parks are for recreation by tax paying citizens. Homelessness programs are the solution to homelessness.

This madness has to stop. Homeless in parks where our children play. Outrageous and inappropriate.

I agree that we should defer a vote on this bill. This bill is not solving any of the real problems. Is causing more.

Get a grip on all aspects of the homeless epidemic that's ravaging our amazing city. We've worked so hard to afford our homes and deserve better from elected council members!

Please no homeless people in parks. We take our children there. And it will be much dirtier on many levels.
Thank you.

Making it easier to be homeless in Seattle is not in any way a solution to solve homelessness.

Let's build more small-lot, short-term housing for the homeless. Let's open our wallets and provide more services. Let's turn a couple empty buildings into shelters. But don't sacrifice our parks and safety for a plan that is already proven to NOT work.
