designated places for homeless are much needed but not in our parks where families and children go to enjoy nature and be free from the busy city environment

As a father of three boys I cannot stress how important it is for our kids to have a safe place to go and be kids and explore the outdoors. I have boys who play soccer and practice at the parks and I'm sincerely concerned of the damage this can cause. These parks were built for the kids not for what you intend to do with them. I strongly urge you to find an alternative solution to the homeless population problem in Seattle.

The homeless issue needs to be dealt with rather than moving them from one park to the next. We need a public housing, not let them resort in our public parks that were designed for recreation, families, etc.

No camping at our parks. Soccer and a clean and safe play space is important to the growth and development of our children.

Keep our open public spaces and parks safe, clean, secure, drug-free and available to children and families. No urban camping within Seattle city limits, in parks, or on sidewalks should be allowed.

Let's address the root cause of homelessness instead of pretending that this will do anything positive to anybody.

Absolutely no to encampments on or near fields and play areas.

This doesn't address or fix the homeless issue. This will only make the problem worse.

I do not support homeless folks camping in our parks. This is an outrage! Please postpone or stop this initiative now.

This failed in Portland and is clearly not a solution to our homeless problem.

Please find a different alternative for the homeless of Seattle. No parks!!!

The City of Seattle leans on property taxes and levies heavily to fund parks, they aren't paid for by the homeless. They are places to recreate not live and not as short term solutions to the long term issue of homelessness.

As a parent of youth athletes, I adamantly oppose the idea of allowing homeless people to camp in public parks, including sports fields. It is absolutely preposterous and unsafe. The athletes deserve better. The public deserves better. And the homeless deserve better.

Please keep our green space safe for our kids, animals and families. Our kids should be able to practice and play a sport in a safe environment.

This is the most ill conceived stupid legislation ever.

This bill can not pass! It will create an unsafe environment for our children!

This is a joke. Don't hide the homeless problem in our parks where our children will be forced to avoid and unable to play. This is a very lazy solution.

This is NOT a solution but a segway into more problems for everyone, We who have chosen to own homes work hard for that privilege and our rights would be violated with this legislation. Our tax payer dollars are not intended to allow other to abuse the rights we have worked so hard for. It could endanger the very quality of life we live in Seattle for. If other legislators feel this is the way to help, please open your yards and your homes to help homelessness.
