I live by Sacajawea Park by the elementary school with no trash cans. It would become a huge trash pit like the sides of I-5 on the express lanes and dangerous to kids. If there's no affordable housing in your big city, move to a cheaper city. Period.

Either defer vote or vote against bill. This is not an intelligent approach.

This is a horrible idea. It failed in PDX, and it will fail here. It already has - citizens are not interested in handing over our parks and green spaces to the homeless. This plan does nothing to help the homeless and will attract more homeless people from other parts of the country. If you must, put the plan on the ballot and let us vote on it.

The homeless need homes, not new campsites that would be unsafe for all city residents - including the campers!

This won't help to solve the issue. More jobs for homeless should be the solution.

This "solution" does not address homelessness. The Homeless should be cared for in the most appropriate manner, this is not compassionate nor is it a solution.

Not in the parks, the only outdoor refuge for tax paying citizens and their families. I support the shelters and services for homeless. I will leave Seattle if this is approved.

Except at barely superficial levels, this policy does not help our city's homeless. People who are homeless already suffer enough. False hope is no panacea.

This is not the solution to this problem.

Please offer free mental health services to the poor. Please increase low income housing percentages in all new construction.

Burke Gilman Playground, surrounded by a low income housing complex and next to a daycare center, is not an appropriate location for homeless encampments.

I'm all for supporting those who have fallen on hard times, especially if they work hard to come back from it. This seems like sweeping the dust under a plastic rug and continued enabling.

Cant even believe our Representatives think this is ok. Vote them out!
