This is not a solution and will only deprive everyone of safe public spaces and increase the problem by attracting more homeless to Seattle. VOTE NO!

As a former assistant professor of economics, it is a well-known observation that you "don't help by the poor by making the community poor." Making Seattle an unattractive place for businesses, communities, and home occupancy will not help the homeless. Nor will draining already scarce public resources that need to be prioritized for law enforcement, education, infrastructure, and local services. Nor will diminshing Seattle's natural appeal as a tourist destination. Homelessness is a secondary reflection of a primary problem. The primary problems need to be addressed first, or the homelessness problem will only grow and a reasonable approach to it will become more difficult, distant, expensive, and contentious.

Seattle homeowners voted to increase our taxes to improve our parks. This would negate that.

As a parent, the thought of homeless people in our parks or near school play fields is worrisome. Homeless people deserve a place to live, but this measure is shortsighted and places the community in danger.

You can already camp for FREE on any National Forest Land in the U.S. ................the space is already legally provided. This would be an outright waste of the tax-payer's money. And children should not have to play next to a sleeping homeless person.

This is ludicrous. Figure out something else. Arrest them. Bus them out. Don't let them take over the city. It's a terrible hygiene problem along with other issues.

Enacting this bill would be complete and utter madness. It must be stopped. If enacted, it will destroy this city and create the biggest influx of vagrants and homeless in american history. I refuse to pay for with with tax dollars or degradation of quality of life.

This is unacceptable. Homelessness brings with it drugs, alcohol, pollution and garbage, and this is all near where children play. I have coached a game where a guy on drugs walked onto the field and went crazy. Play had to stop until the police and paramedics came to take him away in hand cuffs. I was downtown a month ago at a park and two guys were shooting up with heroine. Your homeless laws are attracting the homeless. Please reverse your laws.

Enough of terrorizing Seattle families. Glad to see attempts to help those who need it but this isn't helping anyone and in fact is hurting everyone . Let's talk to people in Portland to see if opening up parks helps or hurts the people who live there .

Homeless people need someplace to go but if we open our parks to be camp sites they will quickly be places we can't go.

This is not the way to help homeless people in Seattle.

Think about the unintended consequences of having tents so close to residents and public parks. Many have permits to carry and would not hesitate to use them if a homeless attempts a break and entry. A bad bad idea

Please keep the homeless out of our neighborhoods. You are going too far and not listening to the public.
