I agree that our city belongs to everyone and common sense should guide actions taken by elected officials.

Please don't pass this. There has to be a better solution than destroying our public parks.

Homeless people belong in homes, rehab facilities, mental health facilities or other places where they can get the help they need. Not only does the proposed ordinance note help them, this law will lead to the devastation of our parks that we all have a right to use safely. - Exactly

We need a different solution, then to use parks where children play.

It is imperative the city not approve this homeless camping on city park property and other public places to be allowed. What the city needs to do is adopt a more stringent policy for encouraging homeless to relocate as his is becoming an epidemic within our city and does not encourage outdoor enjoyment by our citizens which helps local businesses prosper. Sorry, this is now unacceptable.

Allowing tents everywhere will not solve the problem. More money doesn't either. We need a new approach targeting money to prevent homelessness. I am disgusted by the tents, trash, and crime.

I've lived in Seattle all my life (59 years) and I can't believe what's being allowed to happen in my city. Please stop this ordinance from becoming law.

I am very opposed to this bill. It would be a travesty to our youth who use these parks regularly.

Placing homeless in parks is not the answer. The PNW once beautiful is now dangerous and littered.

Please carefully consider the implications of such a bill and the continued long term impact this will have on Seattle, the tax payer and further business growth. This council has been negligent that decisions such as this have on the impact to the tax payer, safety of our children and community and home value. In the event this is passed, I will hold the city council personally accountable for any safety related event impacting our children as a result of approving this bill.

We, the taxpayers of Seattle who support and pay for our parks, demand the right to use and enjoy our parks. The City Council should not hand our parks over to homeless encampments under any circumstances.
