Stop Seattle From Turning Our Parks Into Homeless Encampments

There must be a better solution than this proposed one - I am against it.

Please stop! This is crazy! Our kids need a safe place to play.

The homeless or urban campers should not be allowed carte blanche locations. They need to be concentrated locations so that the city and agencies that provide services can be more effective.

I walk my dog in the park early in the morning and the evening and this makes me feel unsafe somewhere i should feel safe

City parks aren't for camping. Find a more appropriate solution.

Please come up with real solutions for homelessness. Opening up city parks and public places to camping seems like a "give up" option.

Let's keep public spaces safe. Allowing homeless to take over our parks does nothing to solve or help the issues. It was scary living just above the jungle having to see the drug users in the street stumbling around at times. It's also frustrating having vans park with needles sticking in their veins. We need to enforce the laws the exist and push those in need to take advantage of help that is offered.

We need better solutions, and I am willing to pay more taxes. Safe parks for all residents are a must.

Supporting homeless is a good thing, but parks? Really? Parks belong to everyone, not you, not me, not the homeless people. God helps those who help themselves. We cannot do everything for others. Why don't the city council use their own back yard as homeless campus???

It's not the right place for homeless people!

Camping in city parks is NOT the solution

I support this petition. Also support prohibiting squatters from breaking into vacant homes, destroying them, selling & taking drugs & alcohol , fighting...all in residential neighborhoods with police shackled from arresting these squatters.

Disturbing to think that this is actually being considered over providing a real roof over people's heads.

Council Bill 118794 will not help homeless people or our communities.

Please DO not let this happen, not only will it affect safety but tourism as well and tourism brings money into the city.

This area will not be SAFE for the citizens in this area. Think of the kids!!!
