Stop Seattle From Turning Our Parks Into Homeless Encampments

This is insanity. I cant believe the stupidity of our political hacks. It is an embarrassment.

Parks cannot be repurposed on a whim without due process. Next they will be opened up to builders for condo development. Outrageous!

I live in Shoreline, however I work in Seattle I also enjoy visiting the parks in Seattle. Please do not destroy our beautiful parks and city! I don't know if my voice can be counted but I urge you to NOT allow people to camp and use drugs and DESTROY our parks and city!!

NO WAY will the tax paying residents of Seattle put up with this dangerous and completely stupid homeless bill. HELL NO, Seattle City Council.

There are better solutions.

Forcing homeowners to be individually responsible for water, sanitation and other services is absurd! The fine for not doing so is akin to extortion. This action was taken in Portland and it failed miserably. I would be more than willing to add my support to any legal action against the city council if this bill is passed.

I live on Cap Hill and own a business in Ballard. We struggle daily with homelessness (people going through our garbages at home) and RVs, campers, and vans parked outside of my business for weeks on end. Even thought that is a huge daily hassle - letting people camp in our city parks (that we have spent so much TAXPAYER money on to improve and maintain) - will be a pandora's box of problems down the road. Seattle City Council - You Can Do Better. This bill should not even be under consideration. SAVE OUR PARKS. Save it for the residents of this city who pay for them with their tax dollars.

Something needs to be done regarding the homeless living at our parks/soccer fields!

Keep Seattle parks safe for kids and families.

The human flotsam must be purged from Seattle, just like we did in Cambodia!

At least take some more time to investigate how this will impact the parties involved.

We should be thinking about getting them a comfortable living space rather than making a bill stating that they could stay at parks.

This needs to stop.....immediately! Our kids and we as taxpayers deserve much better!

Stop this insane idea of allowing the homeless to set up a camp literally anywhere. Look at Portland and what happened there.
