Stop Seattle From Turning Our Parks Into Homeless Encampments

I'm tired of seeing beautiful parks littered/occupied by irresponsible people.

This plan is just ridiculous and it will turn our city parks into potentially unsafe and even hazardous dumping grounds.

I feel unsafe going to the park e en in daylight as it feels like i am in somebody's home even though i pay high taxes to live in our neighborhood.

Some of these parks are right next to elementary schools, which is totally unacceptable.

This is not the right solution. Safe haven for homeless is something that should be organized by our city government, not ad hoc solve by homeless choosing to camp where they choose. And repurposing public funded locations is something that shouldn't be done without public consent.

This is the most ridiculous thing I have heard. Learn from Portland's mistake and figure out how to solve the real problem.

Do not allow camping in public spaces, the idea is disgusting and certainly a way to bring property valued down ! Sickness and Plague to the public due to filthy human waste everywhere

The proliferation of illegal camping in our parks - Woodland and Cowen specifically - has resulted in a significant increase in debris. A better solution needs to be developed to provide assistance to the homeless population and allowing disperse camping in our parks is not a good solution.

Utterly unacceptable policy proposal!

Very concerned, long term, tax paying, Seattle voter, who will do all he can to campaign against all those who vote for this egregious proposal that will do nothing to solve the homeless problem.

Please keep our parks for everyone and not just as temporary housing. We need a better solution for affordable and temporary housing in this city and not a stop-gap measure that will only serve to ruin our public spaces.

This bill does not address the root problem and only adds additional public safety and health issues. Any city council member who votes for this should be held personally responsible for its outcome.

Of course I care about our homeless population. But City Council continues to ignore the advice of consultants. And the park idea is even more ridiculous.
