Weymouth is a town/ city that already supports affordable housing. Contractors shouldn’t be able to push and twist their way into projects. It’s all about money and that’s against their proposal.

It would be one thing if it was zoned for this type of development. It is not and an allowance for a variance in this situation would set up for other such developments in the area which would change the character of the street. I have lived on Ralph Talbot St for approximately 49 years and feel such a development would have a major impact on the character of the area. Let's hope this does not go through.

Seriously - enough w/the new development. Not every open space needs an apartment/condo/house on it! This is a bad idea for all of the above mentioned reasons.

I am absolutely against this proposal. I am shocked to think Weymouth would even entertain this idea.

As a resident of the neighborhood of the proposed development, I have to say I am very displeased with this proposal and surprised town officials would even be considering it in this location. I moved to Weymouth from out of state 18 years ago, and invested in the neighborhood based on it's composition of single family homes, in a tight knit community. The addition of low income housing units in a 'block' does not, in any way, fit in with the neighborhood,. It lacks the public transportation, and services access, generally associated with low income housing, and would definitely not be a benefit/improvement to our neighborhood. I invested in Weymouth - this will definitively have a negative effect on property values, cause me to think about selling my property now and getting out while the getting is good. This project, with many residents thinking similarly, will contribute to turn Weymouth into Brockton.
I'll leave it there - but you have heard from one concerned citizen, with kids in middle & high school, that I will sell my property and go elsewhere if this proposal goes forward.
