This cannot be allowed to happen. Not only Rt. 144 but also the pre-school across the street and the threat to our Water Tank

The actions of the last Board of County Commissioners has forever, irreversibly, and negatively, changed the character of New Market. Allowing a commercial gas station in this location will destroy the last vestiges of the life we all bought here to enjoy. It will drop our property values, create a further noise and light pollution problem, and a traffic nightmare when we already have one. The onslaught of home building, and now commercial development at Oakdale, without any further infrastructure improvements is already a nightmare. And they're just getting started. Now you want to draw heavy traffic thru downtown New Market and quiet residential neighborhoods. If you wouldn't want this in YOUR backyard, you sure shouldn't in good conscience, put it in OUR backyard.

A truck stop within walking distance to schools and a residential community is absurd. I vote no!

This is a poor location for a truck stop. It is not directly adjacent to I-70 and will result in truck traffic either passing through the town of New Market or traveling past the Oakdale Schools and residential communities. This is a really poor location for this type of facility. Route 144 in this area cannot handle this type of traffic. Bad idea.

This makes no sense. This is a residential area, a quiet rural community. This project is not appropriate for where it is proposed!

Absolutely against this. There are enough truck problems already with the Costco warehouse.

A neighborhood not a place for a truck stop!

Lots of young people with kids bought homes in this quiet neighborhood. A noisy truck stop/gas station at the entrance of their subdivision is not what they need or want. Please find another location further away from these young families.
