Based on the current Rt 70 interchanges, it can be anticipated that most, if not all, 70 West bound, and ALL 70 East bound trucks, to use Exit 62, and then driving though Main Street New market. In addition to the traffic problems, there are school areas whether coming from the west or the east on 144. If the New Market area is so attractive, then a more appropriate site could be off of Rt 75, just south of the I70 exit 62. No impact to either New Market or Monrovia.

The proposed site for this new business is not suitable. It is close to a residential area and directly across the street from a childcare/preschool. The large trucks will have negative effect on air quality and noise for the childcare center and traffic. Our smaller country roads which these trucks would have to travel would have a negative impact because there is no easy on/off access to I70 or other major highways. They would have to come through town as they make their way to the proposed Rutters station. Please do not approve of this plan to place this business in this location.

This town is much to small for that size station! We already have two gas stations!

This location will be dangerous for the elderly residents of Greenview.

as a employee and parent at the child care center across the street I think a gas station that close to a childcare center could be very dangerous.

This is putting a highway type station in a residential community. Fredrick County Planning Comm. must do their job and protect it's citizens and their values/.

Semi-trucks with trailers coming from route 70 would find it difficult to make left turn onto 144 using the left turn lane.. Another sharp right turn into New Market, then through 2 school zones, on a very narrow main street with parking on both sides, then turning into the facility which is right next door to a child care center. Seniors, and children in push carts, are always using the sidewalks in that area. Frederick county planning commission needs to investigate this, before allowing the site to be used for stated purpose. Thank you

This location is NOT suitable for this type of business. The area is residential, including a 55+ community. It also poses a safety issue to the daycare and schools. The narrow roads cannot handle this volume of traffic.

This neighborhood and community is not suited for this type of commercial business. It will increase traffic at the entrance to a residential community and across from a childcare facility and is literally miles from the Route 70 access ramp. Vote county officials out of office who allow this type of mismanagement of Frederick County Planning Commission. I will watch this closely and enlist support for voting this type of disregard for our communities out of office.

No way does this make any sense for this area. If by trucks they mean large tractor /trailers they are clearly to big for Rte. 144 plus the location is too far from the Rt. 70 exits at Md.75 and opposite Holly Hills. A truck stop immediately adjacent to residential neighborhoods and a child care center? What are they smoking?

Too close to residential communities and day school. The truck stop will attract heavy traffic. None of our local roads are suitable for tractors and trailers.
