Unacceptable proposal that would severely
adversely affect the health and safety of the children and parents and seniors in our very small community.

Bad location for a truck station.

This intersection, as well as 144 leading to it, is not equipped for the regular travel of large trucks that this gas station would bring. 144 through New Market already sees accidents on a regular basis, as well as travel above the speed limit. Significantly more truck traffic would make this area more dangerous, impacting quality of life for residents.

This will bring too much traffic and unsavory characters to my quiet little neighborhood.

Placing such a large refueling station amidst a collection of small, and fairly quiet communities seems like a ludicrous idea. Furthermore, the surrounding infrastructure (single-lane roads narrowly cutting through residential areas) cannot support the added traffic of such large commercial vehicles. A rest stop of this size would be far better suited in an established commercial district that not only has the infrastructure to support this traffic, but the additional noise of the vehicles would not be disruptive to the surrounding families.

It is bad planning to put a station like this in a residential community, and across the street from a child care and development center. A fueling station such as this need to be directly off of an interstate exit ramp, not in an established quiet residential community.

I am opposed to a gas station of this size at the location proposed. It would not be a good fit for the community/location.

We don’t need truck parking that backs up to our house. The noise will keep babies, adults, and pets awake.

If a gas station is to be planned for this area it should be a smaller one with no truck parking. The roads can not support truckers and with homes and a daycare next to the planned site it is not safe. The truck area will also decrease the value of homes in the area and increase traffic. Please do not pass the current project.

The wrong place for a truck top.

How can the county even consider a truck stop right across the street from a childcare center? The truck stop should be built adjacent to a highway interchange, not in a residential neighborhood.

I’m not opposed to a gas station, I am opposed to a large station that will increase traffic on Main st New Market, especially big trucks. Even if there is a way around it, they will still go down main st (they still try to drive down 75 under the train bridge)

This gas station belongs on a major road not a residential area. It would impact the lives of everyone in the Greenview Neighborhood which is a quite family with small children neighborhood.
