This is a terrible idea and even worse location.

I am not in favor of having tractor trailers coming in and out of the neighborhood. There is a daycare across the street that is very busy in the morning and evenings. Many children ride their bikes up and down these sidewalks every day. Are the streets Of New Market designed to carry this type of traffic? How many trucks are there going to be sitting on the side of the road waiting for delivery times for the Costco warehouse because there isn’t enough parking in the truck stop? Is the traffic circle near Oakdale high school designed to handle tractor trailers with 53’ trailers? What happens when the retail spaces near the high school are built and all the foot traffic walking from the neighborhood or the school walk across the street?

I agree because of the trucks. However as a 20+ year homeowner -- our "small town" has allowed an insane overgrowth of new homes with little thought to infrastructure. I really do hope New Market one day sees a nice balance of shops and conveniences for the hordes of new families which can be done without losing the small town. I think if Rutters amended their business plan to remove all aspect of large truck service this could be a nice thing for the community.

This is a residential neighborhood and we shouldn’t have a truck stop in it

NO to this gas station. 144 needs less truck traffic, not more! Keep our small town small and safe.

I’m a newer homeowner in the community. With what’s currently planned I would not have looked at homes in the community. I also spoke to another new homeowner in the neighborhood who feels the same way. I feel based on this information, home value will most likely be effective negatively due to possibilities of lack of demand that would be created.

This would be WAY too much traffic going through our town! Especially with kids walking to and from school!

This is not neighborhood friendly! We don’t want this ruining our neighborhood where our kids can play safely and not have late-night 24 hour, constant traffic.

Why ruin another small town?? I am shocked already at all of the huge trucks on the roads EVERY DAY! Constant accidents. We’ve been here 3 years and it’s disappointing.

Better areas with exiting truck traffic to choose. At this location, you will be attracting commercial vehicles that don't currently traverse the area. Adds to noise pollution (truck brakes etc.) , safety concerns, and increased congestion. Changes the complexion of the Greenview community and surrounding residential areas.

A planned station of this size is too much to ask the residents of New Market to bear. The area already can't handle traffic let alone large trucks. Enough growth already!!!

This is so obviously inappropriate. Any Planning Commissioner who supports this request should be pressed to provide a detailed explanation of their rationale. Too many strange things going on in the county without commission members being held accountable.

A small gas station is fine, but not something that's going to bring more trucks through Main St. Don't need to make it worse than it already is for the people who live, work, and shop here. The truck drivers would not be among them.

We do not need such a large gas station at that location.

We do not need a station of this size. This is a two lane road already overloaded with residential traffic. Why encourage trick traffic? This is not a good fit for the location.

That location has such poor sight lines in the intersection that there is no turn allowed on red. If you add all the trucks at the same location it will be a mess always. They have location open in Walkersville so we can go there if we want there products
