A gas station - fine. But a truckstop is totally unacceptable.

The roads leading to this location are small and would suffer from increased congestion. There is no nearby entrance/exit to I70 nor is there a compelling reason to use this location (i.e. large industrial complex entrance). There are areas on the other side of i70 with industrial zoning but again, congestion would be terrible with the hills and small roads, schools, houses, etc.

Terrible location. How are trucks going to get out of there. They would have only one exit onto Rt 144. How would they turn left? Or is your proposal to let turn onto Musetter and go around the traffic circle? How can they do that? We do not want semi trucks coming through our neighborhood. This is going to result in a traffic nightmare.

We need business, but not this type of business that will increase congestion. These roads do not support larger trucks...

The additional noise and vehicle emissions will have a negative impact on air quality and human health in adjacent neighborhoods, in addition to being another eyesore due to Frederick County development decisions.

This business will not be compatible with the residential area. It will bring more air polution, traffic problems, and potential danger to the day care students across the street and the planned elementary school slated for the property next to the day care. Having a gas station and large truck parking at the location is not a good idea.

Truck traffic is bad enough already. We do not need more

Agreed. Yeagertown Rd is constantly closed because large commercial trucks go down it and then there is inevitably an accident because the road is too small. The infrastructure is not there for large and oversized commercial trucks.

I’m not opposed to the gas station being built there. I am opposed to encouraging 18 Wheeler Traffic through the town of New Market.

I honestly cannot think of a worse location. The more sensible location would be near the interstate on and off ramps. This is at the entrance to a small neighborhood that does not need increased traffic, especially from large trucks. We all want new businesses and services but I think we need to pause and assess what type of business is right for this property.
